Parking is available on the street in front or behind the house. Buses come every few minutes, in less than 15 minutes you're in the heart of Sydney (QVB in CBD), or take one in the opposite direction and you can hop on a ferry from Balmain East wharf to Circular Quay or Darling Harbour, and experience all the sites Sydney has to offer (Opera House, Luna Park, Barangaroo, Milson's Point, etc.)

We live with our stud dog, and our son; we won't be here during your stay, but if you're allergic to dogs or babies, best to pick another place. :)
